Did the Underground Lounge Monday night open mic. Great little room. I was the 15th of 16 comics. There were some great people. It was really cool watching how people develop new jokes. Most of the crowd knew each other already, so there was a lot of back and forth between the performers and audience. At one point, an audience member critiqued a guy on stage’s joke and they had a minute long conversation about how to improve it. I was spotted as the new guy early on. After that, everyone directed their material at me. I guess they saw me as the nearest thing to a genuine audience member in the room.

I recorded my set w/my laptop, and everyone was making cracks about how ostentatious it was. Maybe time to find some less conspicuous recording device.
