Swap-O-Rama

This is an event created by Wendy "No Bush," Tremayne. If I'm in town, I will be there with a bag full of rags.

Wendy Says:
Sunday December 5th @ 5pm
Williamsburg Brooklyn. Email Wendy for directions.
This event is already too big for my apartment. Bring yourself, bring a friend but please dont post on any lists (Wendy said I could post it here though:).
Have you noticed that we live in a time of extreme surplus? I'm sure you've seen the giant storage places that line the highways, not to mention the mountains of totally useable stuff that is heaped into garbage piles on the street each week. When you consider the fact that we're burning through energy and resources to manufacture all this crap and then we dump it into landfills at an incredible rate it becomes pretty clear that we dont need to buy, we need to recycle!
It's time again to retire our unloved clothing and accessories and swap them out for new free duds. Participate in the lovely cycle of reuse. Save money, save the planet and have a bunch of fun while your at it.
Here's the way it works... dig through your closet to find your unwanted items: bought but never worn, purchases made while thinking "ill fit in to this one day," shopping mistakes, well worn and loved items that have exceeded their stay in the closet, and unloved gifts held onto out of obligation. Bring them to Swap-O-Rama-Rama and add them to a collective free pile. On cue everyone is invited to dig through the mass in search of new favorites. Everything is free.
What to bring to the swap: Clothing in season and accessories. That includes jackets, wallets, hats, pants, shirts, skirts, shoes, gloves, belts, accessories, jewelry, sunglasses, bags, costumes, lingerie, pjs etc.
