Bunch of URLs for ITP Talk

I'm gonna be yapping about videoblogging at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU at 6:30 tonight. It's free, and you're invited. Sorry it's such short notice, things have been hectic at chez Goldstein.

Areas of opportunity:

Commercial:

1) Production of niche vlog content: e.g. a vlogs about vegan cooking, the New York City comedy scene, skydiving, a vexing social issue, and so on. Tips: keep it focused, post frequently, post regularly.

2) Help people find stuff they would like to watch. Anyone want to make Vlogs-Digest?

3) Get involved in the community. Observe what people are griping about. Solve their problems. An example of this---help people figure out how to get their .wmv videos to play on a new iPod.

Personal:

Do a personal vlog. It will be an archive of your life that your grandkids can look back at. It can connect you with a fun, productive, creative, global, community. It can publicize your work and interests. Few things are more gratifying than creating and sharing media with your friends, loved ones, and random strangers.
