The Many Faced Carbuncle Drawing

Here's an old ink drawing of mine. And you thought you had dermatological problems?

Vloggercon 2 June 10-11 in San Francisco
Five months from now, vloggers afrom around the world will descend on the Swedish American Hall in San Fransisco for Vloggercon 2. Although there's money to be made in vlogging, to a huge extent, to this point, vlogging has been driven by the desire to socialize in a new way, via personal media. I now count far flung folk as friends who I have only interacted with via the vlogosphere. Vlogging allows for this kind of connection because video is so high bandwidth----you get the body language, facial expression, as well as tone of voice. But as rich of a social experience as vlogging is, it can't compete with face to face interaction, so vlogging often leads to pressing the flesh in meatspace. So, I'll be there high fiving my meaty paw into the fleshy fingers of fellow vloggers. See you there?

Rocketboom Ad Auction on Ebay
So the Rocketboom crew is auctioning off on Ebay a week of advertising on their daily videoblog and in the first 3 days of the auction, the bidding has gone from $500 to $14,999.99. Still 6 days and 20 hours to go! Rocketboom is a great vlog with an impressive reach (around 200,000 viewers a day).
On a bit of a tangent, the host of RB, Amanda Congdon, will be on CSI tonight playing herself.

Sleeeeep
Spent the day training people, buying bags of AV goodies at B&H, and doing last minute preparation before the start of the Spring session of BX21. I was up until 6AM yesterday morning working on videos for the Bronx vlogging project. Got a press enquiry about the program---told them to wait a few weeks until we'd put stuff online.
I better go to sleep now.
