This clip is from a performance I did at the Frying Pan by Chelsea Piers in NYC in the Spring of 2004 using a suit I built (with help from Marc Maleh, Quin Charity, and Mikey Sklar). By pressing different parts of the electronics embedded set of coveralls dubbed the PowerSuit, I could wirelessly trigger digital audio. This performance combined old time religion with futurist nightmares of becoming absorbed by our technology. I called this bit “Testify.” In my other performances with the PowerSuit, I moved in a more comedic direction, but I am still fond of this performance too. Dark, cyberpunky, eerie, and performed in the perfect spot—the rotting cargo hold of an abandoned ship which on that night was used as a theater of techno art.

That’s right. Jonny only provides the cleanest techno-prophesy. 100% clean USDA choice voices from the future.
