I forgot how fun it is to teach people to edit video. In the last week, I’ve taught three people I met through DC Media Makers to slice, dice, and rearrange video. I love that moment where people grok that they can manipulate video just like they can manipulate a text document, cutting, pasting, rearranging their way to the story they want to tell.

That’s right Jonny, it is fun to be on the learning end of the table as well, we are so greatful that you are giving of your time and knowledge. We want to learn to be a videoblogging guru like you someday soon. Thank you for your support and encouragement, you’re helping us go the distance!

Fantastic! I loved reading this and your enthusiasm. There are a lot of groups that would value your experience — Dc Web Women among them (I can offer you dinner as payment, just not the big bucks!). Thx for posting this; it’s fun watching Jonny G manifest DC Media Makers’ mission. And it’s addictive watching folks just do what they love. Which do you like more — teaching others or production or both?

Jill, I enjoy teaching and production a lot. I can’t decide which I like more. That’s tough.
