48 Hour Film Fest Debut

May 7th, 2007 · 2 Comments

You are given a genre, a prop, a character name, and a line of dialog, and then you have 48 hours to write, rehearse, shoot, and edit a short film. That was the scenario this weekend as a coven of DC Media Makers and myself converged to pariticipate in the 48 Hour Film Project. Check out the result above. I’m pysched with everything but the sound. We just ran out of time to sweeten it up as much as I’d have liked. Still, it’s good, bloodsucking fun. I enjoyed directing it, and have a short, revealing, appearance.

Here is what we drew:

Genre: Horror
Prop: Bracelet
Character name: Rosie Addams
Line of dialog: “That’s what I’m talking about”

The movie will be screened, along with other DC area entries Tuesday, May 8 at 7PM (Group A) at the AFI Silver Theater. If they are not sold out, you can get tickets here.

Nice - I think I visited that crack house on one of my apartment hunts in DC! Thanks for posting this! I am gearing up for the NYC 48HFP - you should bring the DC crew up for the screenings!
