So people at BlogTV.com, a free streaming video social web space, actually read my email to them and my blog post with suggestions for blogtv.com. Here is the (slightly edited) exchange of emails between myself and Nir Ofir.
He had some good news for the future of his service.
Nir Ofir: I’m Nir, one of the founders here and the product and content chief. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Check us out again soon. We are planning to do some of the stuff you wrote. (Adding 15 minutes to each recording will be the first).
Jonny Goldstein: I like what you guys are trying to do and I appreciate your openness to feedback. The ability to record both video and audio sources is also really important to me. Is this difficult to implement?
Nir: I understand that you didn’t got the co host audio recorded. Unfortunately the co host sound source doesn’t come from your computer so the only way to do it now is using your speakers. This way we will get it through your sound card. We are planning a player that will be able to show your recorded video including the co host feed and the chat feed. This will solve all of your problems!
Jonny: Thanks for the reply. When do you think the new player will be implemented?
Nir: 3 weeks, I hope. the problem is when thinking on making this video for iPods, AppleTV etc..
Jonny: Sure. I know it’s complicated with all the different standards. I look forward to the continuing evolution of blogtv.
