BlogTV from DC Media Makers

June 17th, 2007 · 2 Comments

This is a an archived segment from the monthly DC Media Makers meeting last week. I recorded it live using BlogTV, a free web-based live streaming video service. BlogTV is still very much a work in progress, but I am having a lot of fun with it, and I am assured by one of the founders that many new features and fixes are in the works. Scroll to the middle of the clip to skip the weird audio we were getting at the beginning.

We had a great meeting with Chris Parandian and Ashley Shillingsburg from mobilediner.com, Hatef Yamini Business Development Director of Care2, Christina Arnold, director of Prevent Human Trafficking International, and Phil Shapiro, public geek. And we even had a few random viewers checking out the meeting live via BlogTV.

I know Jeff Pulver has been playing around with BlogTV. He mentions on his blog that the beauty of BlogTV is that the barrier to entry is low, giving anyone a chance of ‘becoming a breakout “TV Star” - all you need is a little luck…and some talent.’ Hmmmmm….

    Jonny,

BlogTV was very cool. Thanks for the demo.

Also, thanks for the insight on uploading. We uploaded the Steve Largent video on mobilediner.com.
