One thing I decided to do about a month back is to book guests farther in advance, partly to save me the stress of booking folks at the last minute. The other reason is to give lead time to promote the heck out of their appearances. My guests deserve the biggest, best audiences they can get, and booking them in advance gives us time to let the world know they will be at the Par-tay.

I am super stoked with tomorrow’s guests, Drew Olanoff and Bill Cammack. I talked with Drew this afternoon, and came away from the conversation totally stoked. Drew has some great ideas for collaborating with other communities on Scriggity. And with an uber pro editor like Bill on board, he can focus more on writing the scripts that make Scriggity so scriggilicious.

Then, after a one week hiatus (I’m going to West Virginia to chill offline with my wife), Jonny’s Par-tay will be back October 10 with Dina Kaplan who is going to talk about ways to get advertisers and sponsors for your web content through blip.tv. I heard her give a presentation on this at Podcamp Philly and got tons out of it. Even if you want to find sponsors on your own without blip, you will learn tons talking to Dina.

Then October 17 we’re going to Par-tay with Mark Day, comedian and YouTube star. Mark’s most viewed video (correct me if I’m wrong Mark) had 1,383,267 views! Whoa.

I’ve done some stand-up myself and I know it takes tons of work to come up with original material week after week, and a big sack full of guts to put yourself out there like that. So I’ve got huge respect for a guy like Mark, who is not only industrious, and brave, but also funny as as a burmese python at a gymboree birthday party. OK, my sense of humor is twisted. But so is his!
