Just wound up the latest show with guest Comedian/YouTube star Mark Day. Here’s the archive:
Here’s the archive of Mark Day’s appearance on the show:
I emphatically enjoyed this one. A few notes:
1) Mark was a great guest, thoughtful, and interesting. Also, he got the word out to his fans, and a bunch of them showed. That’s key. And here’s a plug for his day job at rooftopcomedy.com. Check it out.
2) Had some fun audience interaction. KityKity got a little airtime. Once again, IconJohn got on camera but had no sound.
3) For several minutes, Mark lost sound. He couldn’t hear me. This has happened to me before, when I had Irina Slutsky on. Luckily, he logged out and back in and his sound worked. Normally, we’d still hear each other via phone, but my phone’s batteries had died, so we went phoneless. Never again without the phone.
4) I used the backdrop I had rigged out of PVC pipes. A big improvement on what I’d been using as a backdrop (a wall). I’ll play around with it more.
5) During a special bonus session, a 13 year old lad got his webcam working and asked Mark some great questions. That rocked my world. The kid, Kaymation, has already made more than 30 YouTube vids.
6) For everyone who is viewing, thanks for your support. It makes me happy to see people tuning in and par-tay-ing. I love it when people jump into the mix with their webcams.
7) Stop back next week, when Raymond Kristiansen and I ask the question: is online video the future of politics?

Hey Jonny, sorry for turning in another dumb (as in mute) performance. I’ll check in earlier for a sound check.
