Podcamp Boston 2: Biz Card Brain Dump Part 3

November 3rd, 2007 · 1 Comment

More people Jonny Goldstein met or reconnected with at Podcamp Boston 2:

Christopher Wilson one of the creators of the Answers for Freelancers audio podcast. Chris interviewed me about my Freelance Blues saga, which was fun. My tale should appear on their show one of these weeks. Their Podcast provides advice for graphic arts freelancers, entertaining and useful.

Eric Rochow. Eric emailed me that somebody recently told him that “”You need to pimp yourself out more often, like Jonny Goldstein does…” I’m proud to be a role model, Eric. It was nice to meet you in the flesh. I recommend the crimson velvet lined fedora and python skin loafers. After seeing Eric’s very snazzy promotional postcards for Real World Green and Gardenfork, I now realize I need to pimp myself out better, like Eric Rochow does.

I don’t have the name of the person who told me about Pecha Kucha, but it sounds like a cool phenomenon. Pecha Kucha is an event in which people give a presentation with slides and they are allowed to speak about each slide for 20 seconds before moving to the next. It’s used largely by architects and visual artists to present their work and ideas concisely and I gather there are Pecha Kucha events all over the world. See the cool stuff you learn at PodCamp?

John Cass online marketing supa star.

David B. Eckoff, VP New Products & Innovation at Turner Broadcasting. Hey, that’s a pretty cool job title. Fun guy to shoot the breeze with too.

OK, more biz card braindump coming soon!
