Remember the Million Dollar Home Page? During my appearance on Pulver.tv, Jeff Pulver came up with the genius idea of selling space to sponsors on my tie, like a NASCAR vehicle.
I had a great time doing the show with Jeff, Lux Nightmare, Andy “Tricaster” Lipson, Phil Campbell, and Pej Roshan. Somehow, I pictured the studio being in the spare bedroom at Jeff’s house, but it is actually in the midst of the extensive PulverPlex in an office park in central Long Island.
I got some good thoughts out of Jeff about how to build my show. The main thing, take myself seriously. And figure out how to grow my audience, not just engage the audience I already have (which by the way is the most awesome audience ever).
Great to be a guest, instead of a host for a change. Lot’s of fun interaction with the virtual audience. After the show, Jeff and I talked about his idea for a TV style internet video channel that mixed live with premade content. I think it’s an exciting idea. Sometimes here’s something nice about kicking back and watching what happens to be on, rather than finding a clip here or a clip there.
OK, that’s it for now. Off to prep some clips for Alive in Baghdad’s appearance on Jonny’s Par-tay
