This coming Weds, the love continues on Jonny’s Par-tay, as I interview Stephen Stokols, CEO of WooMe.com, an innovative online speed dating platform featuring in-browser live interactive video sessions within a defined time frame. One reviewer called it “…a mashup of online dating, video IM, Twitter and speed dating!”
WooMe’s motto is “Enjoy the minute.” People are using WooMe for more than just finding dates–They are using it to find activity partners, travel partners, and even employees.
I tried it (If my wife is reading this, it was strictly for research purposes!), and it’s very fun and easy to use. One of the people I met in a session told me she is not at all tech savvy, yet was able to use it fine.
WooMe got much attention and praise at the TechCrunch40 Conference in September, and it has a growing and enthusiastic user base since opening up to the public a few weeks ago. Come talk love, tech, and biz with social media innovator, Stephen Stokols this Weds!

I can see the potential in woome.com. Its the free to use angle, that with all its features, seems like it could grow. I can see people who might not otherwise use it, try it for free, get a match, and then feel more like paying the 1$.
Also, on the art of wooing. I can see this as being a huge skill to have, but not necessarily the one to be best at. It would be enormously helpful in starting out and making deals, but in the end you still have to run a good business with a good product.
