How to make fresh butter

May 23rd, 2008 · 2 Comments

It’s easy:

1. Buy whipping cream. Chill in fridge.
2. Pour into a bowl and start stirring vigorously with a whisk.
3. Keep going until it turns to whipped cream.
4. Continue stirring until the whipped cream starts turning to butter. It will separate out into butter and white liquid.
5. Pour off the liquid and what is left is butter.
6. Spread on bread.
5. Enjoy!

i love making butter. actually, have never made it with a beater, just the very old fashioned way of shaking it in a jar. but the moment it turns from cream to butter … mmmmhh ….

Good for you! I think I’ll just stick to the store bought not so fresh refrigerated sticks of butter. LOL!
