A couple of friends of mine, Brian Conley and James Powderly, have been detained in China in the crackdown on dissent and free speech that has taken place during the Olympics. Please Digg this article about their detention to help get them the attention they need to get them sprung from captivity.
Brian is the creator of the acclaimed citizen journalism videoblog Alive in Baghdad. He has been a guest on Jonny’s Par-tay and is an all around good dude. James Powderly is a fellow Alum from the interactive technology program I attended at NYU. He is a smart, gutsy artist who co-founded Graffiti Research Labs, a group which develops new ways to use technology for people to exercise free expression.
Every bit of attention to their situation will help get them out of detention and back to the US of A. If you care about human rights and free expression please Digg this article.

Think about it before you do it. Don’t combine tibet, human rights and olympics all together.
