Dear Par-tay People,

Together, we’ve been making Jonny’s Par-tay happen since July, 2007. That’s more thirteen months of Par-tay-lightful pleasure. Super Producer Scott Stead joined the Par-tay production team halfway through our run and I know he has reveled in the Par-tay as much as I have. But like all great Par-tays must, this one is coming to a close. My wife and I are moving up to Philadelphia at the end of August, and that seems like a logical time to wrap Jonny’s Par-tay up and tie a pretty little ribbon on it.

We are, of course, going to go out with a bang and we want you there, live and in person! Scott and I invite you to a blowout, extravaganz-o-matic finale streamed from Viget Labs, Weds, August 27, from 7-8PM (NOTE: That’s a change from our normal show time!!!). We’ll catch up with what has happened with our guests since they have been on the Par-tay and what’s next on their horizons (we already have 11 guests booked). You are cordially invited to rock out with us. Afterward we’ll head over to Dogwood Tavern at 132 . W. Broad Street in Falls Church (Map) for a drink. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people via the Par-tay, both guests and online Par-tay-icipators. And I am thrilled with the community we have been able to foster. For example, I was just up in Philly and I learned that long time member of the chatroom posse IconJohn was renting a floor of his house to Par-tay guest BaghdadBrian–they had made the connection via the Par-tay. Or, just a few days ago I was hanging out with Helen Mosher who told me how the Par-tay let her stay connected to the DC social media scene even though she lives two hours into Virginia. That means a lot to me. In the end that’s what it’s about, building connections, creating shared experience, and fostering good times.
